Thompson House Hospital - Lisburn
Thompson House Hospital is a Grade B2 listed building situated on the Macheraleeve Road in Lisburn. The building is situated on a busy main arterial route to Lisburn Town Centre which required major
co?ordination and close team planning to achieve plant deliveries and ongoing general material deliveries to site. The project consisted of major refurbishment on all three levels of the Hospital with replacement Energy Centre (Boiler house) while keeping the existing Hospital patient facilities open and operational. The existing Building features which are of major architectural interest were at all times focused on as high priority for the Design and Construction teams and incorporated in the final designs and finishes for the complete restoration, extension and refurbishment of the building. The building was designed with multi services including new under floor heating to all areas and low velocity ventilation to all areas.
This reduced the possibility of weakening of any existing structures thus preventing any possible architectural damage. With the commitment shown by all the construction and design team the project proved to be a great success.
