About Us

About Scoffield and SonsScoffield & Sons Ltd was founded in 1962. The next few years saw them consolidating their position within the Mechanical Services industry in Northern Ireland, following which they were awarded several major contracts which included, at the time the largest office block in Belfast at 22 storeys, Windsor House in Bedford Street, and the two 12 storey Nurses Accommodation Blocks at the Royal Victoria Hospital Site. The Company was one of the founder members of the Northern Ireland branch of the Heating & Ventilation Contractors Association (HVCA) when it was formed in the late 1970s.

Richard Dodds was appointed Managing Director in August 1998; his knowledge of the industry and introduction of modern business methods resulted in the rapid controlled growth of the Company, requiring additional staff and a move to large premises. The Company acquired new offices, storage and fabrication facilities at Laburnum Street, Belfast and subsequently moved there in February 1999.

In August 2007, to advance the expansion and provide for the future management of the Company, Neil Allen was appointed as Contracts Director. With his appointment, Neil has further enhanced the Company’s reputation and Industry accreditation by implementing ISO 9001 Quality Assurance and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and Procedures.
