QUB Student teaching Building is a Grade B3 listed building situated in Eglinton Avenue Belfast.
The building is situated in Eglinton Avenue a busy area within the greater Belfast area. The work within the building was closely coordinated to maintain fast track progress in a tight program.
The project consisted of the major refurbishment on ground, first, second and third levels of the building with replacement and upgrade of all major services including heating, plumbing, mechanical ventilation, Air conditioning and sanitation along with all other standard services.
The building featured normal teaching rooms with silent rooms; interview, study and lecture rooms which required acoustic treatment and the mechanical services were designed and installed with particular attention to modern teaching requirements.
The building was designed with multi services including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, sanitary and plumbing services to all areas. Major services coordination problems were encountered due to restricted heights within the listed building. These issues were overcome with close cooperation between the design and construction teams during on site design co?ordination meetings.Download project document
