QUB - Lanyon North Building

QUB – Lanyon North Building is a Grade B1 listed building situated on the Malone Road in Belfast.
The building is situated on the Malone Road a busy main arterial route to Belfast City Centre. The work within the building was closely coordinated to maintain fast track progress in a tight programme.
The project consisted of the major refurbishment on ground, first, second and third levels of the building with replacement and upgrade of all major services including heating, mechanical ventilation and sanitation along with all other standard services.
The building featured several silent rooms, interview, study and lecture rooms which required acoustic treatment and the resultant services were designed and installed with this in mind.
The building was designed with multi services including heating, ventilation, sanitary and plumbing services to all areas. Major coordination issues were encountered due to restricted ceiling heights within the existing building structures. These issues were overcome with close cooperation between the design and construction team during on site design coordination meetings.
